Are you a driven and customer-focused sales and marketing professional? We’re delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a first-class logistics provider in Leicestershire, who are looking for an enterprising Sales & Marketing Manager to join their team.
For this exciting opportunity within a prestigious and progressive business, we are looking for a talented sales and marketing professional who demonstrates a flair for generating business through a range of innovative sales, marketing and social media activity. The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and responding to sales leads and enquiries; making contact with potential and existing customers, and managing each relationship through to sale. You’ll be sales-focused with first class communication skills, and truly excel in establishing rapport with clients through taking a positive, consultative and engaging approach.
This is a truly varied and interesting role, which may involve travel to visit potential clients, networking events, as well as attending exhibitions, conferences and trade shows.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Identifying and generating new leads for the business
- Putting together quotations and sales proposals for prospective clients
- Working as part of a strong internal management team to provide an excellent service proposition
- Promoting and selling the services of the company
- Attending tradeshows and exhibitions representing the company
- Updating the company marketing collateral and image
- Managing the company website and social media
Skills and experience required:
- Extensive previous sales and marketing experience within a 3rd party logistics or contract packaging company
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work with initiative and manage workloads
- Comprehensive industry knowledge and commercial acumen
- Diligent, structured, and organised approach to work – with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
- A positive and ‘can-do’ attitude with logical problem-solving skills
- Takes pride in work and is thorough, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong PC skills – proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
Salary and benefits:
- £40,000 + bonus scheme
