We’re delighted to be recruiting a 6-month fixed term contract for a Part-time Accounts Assistant on behalf of a well-known manufacturing organisation that has been established in Leicester for nearly 130 years.
The successful candidate will work as part of a friendly and industrious team. You will assist the team in a variety of finance functions directly reporting into the Finance Manager. This will be an office-based role and you will be required to be in the office on a Monday and Tuesday, but they are flexible on hours / other days.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Completion of credit control and generation of debtor letters / statements
- Assist the Finance Manager with balance sheet reconciliations and month end tasks
- Collation of timesheets for payroll and processing onto the payroll system
- Produce weekly payroll BACS and associate paperwork for approval
- Processing of credit card and employee expenses
- Cover and assistance with purchase ledger / sales ledger when required
- Customer and client supplier query resolution
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
Skills and experience required:
- Extensive account reconciliation experience – accounts up to trial balance
- Experience of payroll processing
- Previous experience of using accounting software packages (Navision desirable)
- Strong excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s desirable)
Hours:
- 6 month fixed term contract starting in January 2022
- Part time 24 hours per week
- Monday and Tuesday must be based in the office
Salary and benefits:
- Circa £12.00 per hour
- 20 days + 8 bank holidays (pro-rata – full working week 37.25 hours)
