We’re delighted to be supporting a busy local organisation with the recruitment of a part-time HR Business Partner, to provide maternity cover for approximately 3 – 4 months.
This is an interesting and varied opportunity, and the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and enabling managers to respond to ever changing needs and provide integrated advice on HR issues as wide-ranging as organisational change, culture, resourcing, performance management and employee relations.
An excellent knowledge of current employment legislation is essential for this role, coupled with a proven experience of providing professional, expert HR guidance.
As HR Business Partner you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Undertaking employee relations case work including organisational reviews/ restructuring, grievance, disciplinary, attendance management and daily problem-solving activity
- Providing advice on HR policies, issues and procedures to managers and staff, as well as delivering guidance on grading and job evaluation
- Co-ordinating recruitment, selection, and induction processes
- Producing performance indicators, statistics, reports and other HR and management information
- Carrying out project work in either HR related or in cross functional groups
- Researching and analysing HR subjects as requested by the HR Manager
- Assisting the Health and Safety Officer on employee H&S matters
- Managing, training, coaching and motivating staff, promoting collaborative team working
- Working with the L&D Officer to identify training and development needs
- Ensuring compliance with all internal policies, statutory requirements and guidance in relation to Equality and Diversity, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Communication and involvement policies
We’re looking for an HR Business Partner with the following skills and experience:
- CIPD qualified to Level 7 (or have demonstrable equivalent experience)
- Extensive proven experience in a generalist HR role, to include:
- Attendance, performance, displinary, and grievance matters
- Training, development and succession planning
- Policy, process and service improvement development
- End-to-end recruitment campaigns
- Working with trade unions / in a unionised environment
- L&D, Succession Planning, Job Grading & Evaluation
- Restructuring and redundancy
- Provision of statistics and management information
- Evidence of providing effective coaching and line management to others
- Up-to-the minute understanding of employment legislation and HR news / developments
- Thorough knowledge of matters relating to GDPR, Equality and Diversity, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Safeguarding
- A full valid driving licence is essential for the requirements of this role, along with access to a suitable vehicle
Hours of work:
- 22.5 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Available on a hybrid or remote working pattern – applicants must be available to attend occasional office-based days in Market Harborough.
Salary:
- £39,500 – £42,000 (FTE)
