Job description:
We’re currently recruiting for a temporary part-time Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant on behalf of an SME organisation. The successful candidate will report into the Finance Director and will complete day to day transactional duties to assist through a period of absence.
Salary and benefits:
- £14.00 per hour
- 20 days + bank holidays (pro-rata)
- On-site parking
Hours of work:
- 20-25 hours per week
- Flexible on days / timings
Duties and responsibilities:
- Sales and purchase ledger – posting, invoicing, and reconciling
- Posting of receipts
- Raising of supplier payments and completion of payment run
- Supplier query resolution
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Credit control (minimal)
Skills and experience required:
- AAT or QBE
- Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
- Experience with Xero OR Sage 50 and good working knowledge of Excel
- Organised and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills
- Team orientated individual
