Job description:
We are currently recruiting for a Service Administrator on a temporary basis on behalf of our local client, an industrial solutions organisation.
This is a varied role, working closely with and supporting the Service Controller with the running of the mobile service fleet and workshop.
Applications must be available to interview before Christmas and start the assignment in early January. This is a temporary assignment with an anticipated duration of 12 weeks, with potential for the role to eventually develop into a permanent opportunity.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
- Office based
Salary:
- £11.54 per hour
- 20 days’ annual leave (+ bank holidays) – this will increase to 25 days’ (+ bank holiday) if the role progresses into a permanent opportunity
Duties and responsibilities:
- Speaking with customers via phone and email to book in routine service and maintenance as well s providing regular progress updates
- Answering incoming calls regarding updates and customer enquiries
- Assisting in organising engineers’ workload, adhering to working/driving hour regulations at all times
- Ensuring that work authorisation has been obtained from the customer whenever necessary
- Following a breakdown from start to finish, ensuring processes are following correctly
- Checking engineers timesheets and scanning paperwork
- Updating spreadsheets (including warranty and non-conformance) tracking inspection regime & certain third-party repairs
- Invoicing warranty jobs and sending to customers via email
- Updating internal computer systems and storing digital records
- Greeting visitors to the site
Skills and experience required:
- Previous administration and/or customer service experience
- Experience of working within the automotive sector would be desirable
- Confident communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Strong organisational and people skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
- Customer focused, with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Experienced in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
