    Are you an experienced HR management professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact within the education sector? A highly reputed educational organisation in Kettering is seeking a skilled and strategic HR Business Partner to join their busy team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

    In this crucial role, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape and drive the people strategy, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation across the organisation. The successful applicant will be at the forefront of fostering a positive and supportive work environment, working collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organisation to deliver high-quality HR services.

     

    What you can expect:

    • £44,000 – £51,000
    • Hybrid work model – 2 days on-site per week and 3 days working from home

    As HR Business Partner, you’ll have the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Effectively leading, coaching and developing an efficient and collaborative HR Team
    • Work in partnership with Senior Management teams to develop and implement strategic HR plans
    • Supporting the effective management, recruitment, development, and motivation of staff
    • Representing HR in both institutional and external meetings
    • Leading cross institutional projects and strategic themes. e.g. employee engagement, equality and wellbeing, ensuring continual progress and improvement against agreed KPIs
    • Negotiating contracts with external suppliers and manage the ongoing relationship
    • Leading complex employee relations cases or those that have moved to appeal level
    • Working with the University solicitors to prepare for employment tribunals
    • Researching, reviewing and designing HR policies, procedures, guidance, and toolkits
    • Constructing meaningful data and HR statistics to inform and underpin advice provided to SMT
    • Executing job evaluation in accordance with the organisation’s job evaluation system ensuring that a systematic and consistent approach is adopted
    • Formulating learning and development programmes in collaboration with staff development team

     

    We’re looking for a HR Business Partner with the following skills and experience:

    • Extensive experience in a similar HR management role, ideally within the education or public sectors
    • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
    • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and requirements for visa applications and sponsorships
    • Experience of leading and advising on effective change management
    • Experience of constructively working with trade unions and/or staff representatives
    • Demonstrates an understanding of and ability to effectively construct and apply HR policies and procedures
    • Ability to promote equality and diversity throughout the organisation
    • Sound understanding of GDPR and the important of confidentiality
