Are you an experienced HR management professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact within the education sector? A highly reputed educational organisation in Kettering is seeking a skilled and strategic HR Business Partner to join their busy team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
In this crucial role, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape and drive the people strategy, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation across the organisation. The successful applicant will be at the forefront of fostering a positive and supportive work environment, working collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organisation to deliver high-quality HR services.
What you can expect:
- £44,000 – £51,000
- Hybrid work model – 2 days on-site per week and 3 days working from home

As HR Business Partner, you’ll have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Effectively leading, coaching and developing an efficient and collaborative HR Team
- Work in partnership with Senior Management teams to develop and implement strategic HR plans
- Supporting the effective management, recruitment, development, and motivation of staff
- Representing HR in both institutional and external meetings
- Leading cross institutional projects and strategic themes. e.g. employee engagement, equality and wellbeing, ensuring continual progress and improvement against agreed KPIs
- Negotiating contracts with external suppliers and manage the ongoing relationship
- Leading complex employee relations cases or those that have moved to appeal level
- Working with the University solicitors to prepare for employment tribunals
- Researching, reviewing and designing HR policies, procedures, guidance, and toolkits
- Constructing meaningful data and HR statistics to inform and underpin advice provided to SMT
- Executing job evaluation in accordance with the organisation’s job evaluation system ensuring that a systematic and consistent approach is adopted
- Formulating learning and development programmes in collaboration with staff development team
We’re looking for a HR Business Partner with the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in a similar HR management role, ideally within the education or public sectors
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and requirements for visa applications and sponsorships
- Experience of leading and advising on effective change management
- Experience of constructively working with trade unions and/or staff representatives
- Demonstrates an understanding of and ability to effectively construct and apply HR policies and procedures
- Ability to promote equality and diversity throughout the organisation
- Sound understanding of GDPR and the important of confidentiality
