Job description:
We’re looking for a skilled administrative professional with extensive experience of working within a mortgage brokerage, to join a well-reputed financial consultancy based in Kettering.
The successful applicant will provide seamless clerical support to Mortgage Advisors by producing a range of clear and accurate documentation and correspondence which is fully compliant with internal processes as well as meeting provider and regulatory requirements.
Hours of work, salary and benefits:
- £25,000 – £27,000
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm with 1hr lunch (35 hours)
- Free parking
- 25 days’ annual leave (+ bank holidays)
As Mortgage & Protection Case Handler you’ll have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Managing incoming and outgoing postal processes
- Answering the phone and the door, welcoming visitors and preparing refreshments as necessary
- Booking appointments for advisers in Google diary
- Liaising with Mortgage providers and clients to ensure the smooth processing of mortgage applications
- Contacting Insurance Companies and clients to ensure policies are in force as appropriate
- Producing suitability letters for protection cases as appropriate
- Keeping the company database up to date, reviewing any tasks allocated to you on a daily basis
- Ensuring registers and logs updated and reviewed regularly
- Taking ownership of client queries in order to provide prompt resolutions
- Communicating with colleagues on compliance matters as they arise
- Assisting with any administrative or office based tasks as deemed appropriate
- Participating in any seminars and events arranged by the organisation when required
We’re looking for a Mortgage & Protection Case Handler with the following skills and experience:
- Extensive previous experience in a similar administrative role within a mortgage brokerage
- Experience of working with a variety of financial providers
- IT proficient, with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and internal CRM / database systems. Intelligent Office desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Skilled in time management, organisation and prioritisation
- Works with a positive and proactive and problem-solving approach
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
