    Job description:

    We’re looking for an enterprising Warehouse Team Leader to join the team at a growing local company with an international presence.

    As a leading distributor within the automotive sector, the business has a proud history as a pioneer in its industry and its subsidiary within the UK continuously innovate in order to increase its market share.

    The successful applicant will demonstrate a positive, can-do outlook and a flair for leadership, along with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and performance.

     

    • Working hours Monday to Friday, 11:00am – 7:00pm
    • Salary £28,000 – £30,000
    • Free on-site parking
    • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays

     

    As Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll have the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Assisting with daily tasks including (but not limited to) picking goods, dispatch and goods replenishment
    • Learning, managing and contributing to the development of bespoke warehouse management software
    • Monitoring and assigning tasks to warehouse team members, ensuring timely completion of all tasks
    • Assisting in addressing operational issues in the absence of the warehouse manager
    • Ensuring H&S guidelines are always maintained
    • Finding improvements and efficiencies within day-to-day operations

     

    We’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader with the following skills and experience:

    • Previous warehouse experience is essential, preferably in small parcel distribution
    • Prior leadership of a small team, helping to create a positive and productive environment
    • Good IT knowledge and skill set with experience using Excel, as well as handheld barcode scanners and warehouse management systems
    • Interest in, and knowledge of, the automotive industry would be beneficial
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
    • Keen to be involved in the success and growth of the business
