    Job description:

    Our client, a family-owned FMCG organisation, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their growing finance team. This is a fast-paced environment, and you will need to be hands-on in your approach and experienced enough to work on your own initiative. This is a great opportunity to add value and make a difference to the business.

     

    • Up to £55,000
    • Working hours Monday to Friday 40 hour working week
    • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

    • Due to business requirements, candidates must be immediately available or have a short notice period

     

    Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Day to day management of a small finance team
    • Prepare and produce monthly and quarterly management reports to provide financial insights to the MD and SMT
    • Daily cashflow management and weekly cashflow forecasting, including budget forecasts
    • Management of FX
    • Reconciliation of Amazon Vendor account
    • Liaise with external accountants to prepare and finalise year-end accounts and manage the annual audit process
    • Management of all banking duties including bank and ledger reconciliation
    • Margin analysis and costings across the differing channels
    • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
    • Managing trade debt finance
    • VAT Returns
    • Stock management – monthly stock holding calculations and posting

     

    Skills and experience required:​​​​​​​

    • ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualified – QBE will be considered
    • Experience of imports and recording and reconciling foreign exchange transactions
    • Experience of margin analysis, cost /sales
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Sage 50
    • Confident in dealing with Directors and stakeholders in the business
    • Enjoys taking ownership of tasks and working with a self-motivated and enterprising approach
    • Strategic thinker and demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop
